Josh’s Equipment

Many students often ask the question, “What does a professional musician use on the job? Josh has gear tailored for his many different facets of his musical career.

Josh plays on Trumpets, Alto, Tenor, Bass Trombones, and Bass Trumpets by Schlub Brass Works. He also plays several vintage trombones. His Tubas are vintage Alexander 164 Kaiser B flat and 155 E flat tubas.

Josh currently an Artist, Endorser, and Dealer of Schlub Brass Works custom brass instruments of Miamisburg, Ohio.

Josh uses Monster Oil for his valves and tuning slides, and Yamaha Slide Lubricant on his trombone slides.

Josh uses Protec Metal Straight Mutes, Japanese-Made Yupon Straight, Cup, Solotone, and Practice Mutes, as well as Trapani Harmon Mutes for both tenor and bass trombone.
